Flor Depla is an entrepreneur in the fashion industry. Her eccentric method of analysing the past, present and future trends gives her an unique way of grasping the consumer and the society of today and tomorrow. Her functional, energetic and efficient designs is the trigger point for added value to inspire humans as individuals understanding the importance of the group and the natural resources. Subject: the future and applications of wearable technology. The aim of the workshop was to introduce young artists designers and developers from Taiwan to critical design strategies and simple portable do-it-yourself (DIY) technologies.
She was a participant of Innovation in Extreme Scenarios – Think Tank – Port 2015 @ Uptec Pinc – Porto. https://uptec.up.pt/ In collaboration with the University of Porto, V2_Lab organized a three-day closed expert meeting in which the V2_theme of innovation in extreme scenarios was further explored. The main objective of this meeting was specifically technology related to labour research and development of blueprints for the future work environments. The second goal was to offer an intellectually stimulating experience within an interdisciplinary environment in which participants could gain new insights into the process of technological innovation that are directly relevant to their own research and activities. The third goal was to produce a mission statement with recommendations for future actions.
The expert meeting was divided into four plenary sessions and a final presentation of the draft text Towards a Healthier Work Ethic for some fifty guests from the local community and university of Porto.
