Over the past centuries, humans have had a profound impact on Europe’s natural environment. 

In many instances, it has been damaged beyond recognition through activities such as deforestation, intensification of farming practices, illegal logging, draining of wetlands, and urbanisation. 

However, in Europe, there are regions where natural forests, traditional landscapes, and farming communities still exist. 

One of the most magnificent of these is the Carpathian Mountains in Romania.

Eco Village

This amazing place is located in Sălciua village from Romania.Dating from the 19th to 20th centuries, the houses were restored and turned into unique accommodation structures that blend old elements with contemporary features.

AQUA Carpatica comes from a land completely untouched by men. 

Deep in the wilderness is the source of the purest, most perfect water in the world. 

In Romania along the Carpathian Mountains is the largest pristine forest in Europe, guarding over the influence of men.

Reforestation

This spring we planted more than 45 000 thousand trees in Valea Lunga Bradet in the Southern Carpathian Mountains. 

We have prioritised planting in this valley due to the gathering pace of erosion on its steep slopes. 

We planted a mix of Picea abies and Fagus sylvatica to bring back the forest mix native to this altitude and ecosystem.
