About Ottawa Cohousing

Ottawa Cohousing is essentially a Matchmaking service! We gather people interested in cohousing: future residents, investors, professionals involved with land development, city planners and local government.

Aspiring cohouse residents are interviewed, then matched into a group with other aspiring cohouse residents. Groups are then paired up with developers or builders. Development land is secured for each group with the assistance of our affiliate architecture firm Rosaline Hill Architects. RJHill will also leads the groups through municipal processing, and of course develop the design of an ideal community together with the group.  Tools and resources are provided to smooth the path to success.

While we provide the liaison between the development group and the cohouse group, we also provide the learning and expertise that the cohouse group will need to form a cohesive and well running community, both during the development phase and well into the future of their community.
